Prophyl’s state-of-the-art vaccine-production and diagnostic laboratory unit and containing several specialist laboratories, was handed over in December 2018. The laboratory is located in the renovated building of the former Dr. József Marek Agricultural Secondary School, and in honour of the school’s namesake, the most famous Hungarian veterinary scientist in the world, it was named the Dr. József Marek Veterinary Laboratory (or Marek Lab, for short).

The main activity of the unit is the veterinary diagnostics of livestock. By tailoring our services to the needs of our customers, we offer a comprehensive and constantly expanding range of diagnostic services for poultry, pigs and cattle. The solid background for our diagnostic services is provided by our company's experience in disease prevention, our colleagues and experts, who have decades of diagnostic experience, and our state-of-the-art, specialist laboratories.

Our modern laboratory center combines all diagnostic services: pathology, microbiology, serology, virology and molecular biology.
