Our services, testing
- Identification, characterisation and typing of isolated bacteria are done from submitted animal carcasses or biological samples.
- If required, isolated pathogens can be cryopreserved for following production of custom-made autogenous vaccines.
- In-vitro antibiotic susceptibility testing of isolates is routinely performed in order to determine a targeted antibiotic treatment.
- We process environmental monitoring samples in order to control the effectiveness of on-site cleaning and disinfection.
Salmonella testing
In our laboratory we can conduct bacteriological testing of samples within the frames of the National Control Program for Salmonella.
In the case of samples (poultry body, organs, tissue, feces, swabs, litter, hatching waste, dead eggs) taken within the frames of the National Control Program for Salmonella, we conduct isolation, enrichment, surface propagation, and identification tests on Salmonella in accordance with the requirements of standard MSZ EN ISO 6579-1:2017.
If livestock owners are entitled to financial support under the terms of FVM (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) decision no. 148/2007. (XII. 8.), we can issue invoices accordingly.
